Prestigious Grant Under SUR of IBM | SCIT Blog
Dear all
Since its inception in 1999, SCIT enjoys a symbiotic relationship with IBM. IBM has always been a knowledge contributor and talent seeker from SCIT, thereby bridging the gap between industry expectations and academic realization. Alumni of SCIT are with IBM in different business areas performing as Tech Leads, Release Manager, Business Consultant, Advisory Senior Consultant, Solution Architect and Senior Software Engineer, to name a few. SCIT cherishes and values this association and corporate collaboration which helps to grow and mature in meeting the market expectations.
Some of you might be knowing that the IBM Shared University Research (SUR) Award is a worldwide equipment award program designed to promote research in areas of mutual value and interest to IBM and universities. IBM provides a limited number of SUR awards each year, at its discretion. This year SCIT and SCMHRD along with IBM submitted a joint proposal to IBM for the Shared University Research Award. The proposal was evaluated through a multi-stage process, and I am really glad to share with you that this prestigious grant under Shared University Resources (SUR) of IBM has been awarded to SIU this year for joint proposal of SCMHRD and SCIT. The SUR award program is designed to promote collaborative research projects that bring value to IBM, the technology community at large.
