वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम – The world is a family
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is an ideology that infuses an understanding that the whole world is one family. It is made up of three Sanskrit words – Vasudha, Eva and Kutumbakam. Vasudha means the earth, Eva means emphasizing and Kutumbakam means a family. Can this whole world be just one cosmic family? It might be viewed as an illusion amidst so many brutal and agitated incidents. You may find this partially hard to digest but we at Symbiosis International University have successfully implemented this philosophy. With students hailing from all parts of the globe including India, the university indulges in providing a multicultural, multilingual and multinational approach. The whole advancement in the educational domain is transparent and collaborative thereby bringing each student on the same page. The East-West combination results in value based growth and plethora of exchanges including ideas, notions and opinions. This scheme truncates various disbelief which crop up due to volatile environments.
The modern advancement has resulted in accrual of delusive hopes and expectations. We tend to forget the role of other species in our survival. Homo sapiens, no matter how canny they are, rely heavily on others. Whether we realize it or not, we are the part of a feeble ecosystem on which we depend and bank upon. Thus, we belong to an inter-dependent, inter-coiled and inter-related Universe.
Like the grasp of hand is more tenacious than that of the single finger, similarly, family support is very pivotal. For the world to be devoid of warships and turmoil’s, we have to put in a supporting and healing hand. We wish the world to be an emblem of civilization and development because only then only the world will be a better place to raise our progeny.
