Dec 2012 – A bonanza for SCIT students!

Dec 2012 is certainly a bonanza for SCIT students. I was delighted when 38 students completed their ITIL certification, and one student completed his PMP certification. This is certainly a “value add” to them. Although SCIT provided the necessary platform and support, it was due to the students’ efforts that they got themselves certified. More than a dozen of them also completed their six sigma green belt certification successfully.
The enthusiasm and energy that SCIT students have in them is mind blowing. The graffiti site (http://graffiti.scit.edu) was made live in 4 days, and the android app that Mr.Clevin developed in 3 days is just Coool!
Well, you might be wondering why I call December 2012 a bonanza month! Is it just due to this certification and success that the students got by clearing the exam or just the graffiti stuff!? Well, its not that alone, all the Big Four (PwC, KPMG, E&Y and Deloitte) visited SCIT campus placement for recruiting our students. Not the big four alone all the big giants like Infosys, TCS , Goldman Sachs, Amex, etc have offered our students associate consultant and consultants profiles! The placement for MBA( ITBM) 2011-2013 batch is going on in full swing. The student placement team along with Ms.Savitha is doing an outstanding job, and I can certainly say that placement is rocking at SCIT and hence I say Dec 2012 is a bonanza.
While I type this blog, the clock is striking 12.01 am and it is 22nd Dec 2012, The Mayan Calendar which indicated that the world will come to an end on 21st Dec 2012, has been proved wrong, similarly for many who feel that SCIT is just another B School we time and again prove that they are wrong.
