A Guest lecture held by Mr. Sudhanshu Jain, trainer and coach for Salesforce Admin, Salesforce development and Neuro-linguistic programming. It was conducted on 26th August, 2019 and was attended by the batch of 2018-2020.
Mr. Sudhanshu gave a brief introduction to Salesforce which included the topics like why Salesforce is used, how easy it is to use Salesforce and also talked about the popularity of it.
He explained the intricacies of various technologies like cloud storage, Siebel, ServiceNow and Radian6 and how these can be used to enhance one’s business. Cloud storage is an online storage where users/businesses can store their data and access it from anywhere and at any time. Coming to Siebel is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application which is used by companies having a huge customer base and who expect frequent interactions with them. ServiceNow, is a company that provides service management SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). It specializes in IT services management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM) and IT business management (ITBM). Radian6 provides social media monitoring and analysis in an automated solution that tracks conversations across different online channels from social media to websites.
Mr. Sudhanshu then urged the students to utilize the plethora of tutorials available online and get to know more about Salesforce Essentials, Salesforce Developers and Dreamforce. Students were also recommended to go ahead with free online trainings sessions and also earn badges which will add more value to one’s resume.
This session was interactive and the students realised the ease with which Salesforce can be learnt and used.
