Makar Sankaranti Celebration
On January 7th, 2019; the Telugu community of the SIC Family came together to celebrate Makar Sankaranti in the SIC Campus. The campus was decorated with kites, sugarcane and pots which are all synonymous of the way Sankaranti is celeb
rated. The proceedings began with a Po
oja performed by the students in the Atrium. Sweet Pongal was served as Prasad soon after the Pooja.
Special lunch was served for all the students which included authentic and mouth-watering dishes like Mirchi Bajji, Double ka Meetha, Vegetable Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Chocolate Paan, etc. All students enjoyed the delicious lunch served to them.
A bonfire was arranged in the campus. All students gathered around the bonfire and played songs
. They merrily danced around the bonfire and celebrated the festival with much joy and fervour. The support and encouragement of the faculty and management along with the untiring efforts of the students made the Makar Sankaranti celebrations a grand success.
