HiEd Success Guest Lecture

A guest lecture was held for  the DSDA as well ITBM batches on 24th February by HiEd Success. The guest lecture was held by Mrs. Preeti Tanwar who is the CEO of the HiEd SuccessTeam who talked about the importance of soft skills in the corporate world and the importance of BlockChain in the industry. She later introduced the students to the Toastmasters Club. This guest lecture focussed on Blockchain and soft skills insights from HiEd Toastmasters. The BlockChain topic was initiated by Mr. Feng Hou who is currently working at Maryville University as the Chief Digital Transformation Evangelist and he is also a part of the Linux Foundation. He first gave a basic idea about what BlockChain is which was then followed by him discussing the various applications of it. The session was also interactive as students asked their queries to him which he explained carefully to them. The next session lined up was the toastmaster’s session which was conducted by Mr. John Godoy who is an international speaker and a communication coach as well. Mrs. Preeti first asked him to advise her on how she has improved her communication over the years following which she talked about her life and the values that she follows. This was followed by around eight volunteers who were asked to come on stage. These volunteers were each given a topic on which they needed to speak for at least a minute or two after which they would receive a review from Mr. John on how they can improve their communication skills. At the end of the session, Mrs. Preeti rewarded the volunteer who communicated in the best possible way with the audience. The session was quite interactive and gave excellent insights on technological as well important soft skills which would lay an important founding stone for the career of the students.
