Outbound Programme Experience
With sleepy eyes we woke up around 4:30 am ,as 3 of us had to manage together. Reported at the main gate at 6:15 and wondering if anyone would turn up to address us. Criticizing SIU for not letting us take a sound sleep we started our journey with boys on one side and the girls on another.
They made us sit according to divisions in bus which helped us identify our classmates. This way all of us interacted with each other. We reached surya shibir in 1 and a half hour singing songs and shayareez. All of us gelled up so well as if we had been knowing each other for months. Once we reached there we had a team of Col and Major addressing us. “Report after another half an hour and start with the activities”,they said. On the very first day we had to for trekking….TREKKING. Steep slopes, slippery land, scorching heat .. each one of us helping the other to climp up. After this tedious task we all thought we would be given time to relax and enjoy the beauty. BUT again they proved us wrong….a series of tasks lined up, we got free around 10:30pm. And the next day reporting was again at 6:00am. So many different tasks helped us in learning as a team.
They kept us busy throughout which in way helped knowing each other well and identify our potential .It also helped us test our limits in the heat. As they say All is well that ends well! We really thank our college for this fun filled outbound activity.
