Ground Zero @ SCIT……!!!!
It all started with SNAP preparation. Being from Pune and working at the heart of IT Park, I had an early opportunity of visiting Symbiosis InfoTech campus for PI-WAT process, with world class infrastructure and being Premier IT business school, SCIT stands tall surrounded by giant IT organizations which give it an edge over the other business schools.
19th March 2014, with running heart beats opened SCIT official website and there it was, like a dream come true, the message which I’ll remember my whole life, “Congratulation, you have been shortlisted for SCIT -ITBM” and I became SCITian.
After working for 3.6 years with an IT organization, it was time to take up new challenge, a new path which will take me to the place, where every IT guy wishes to be.
The wait was not over for me though, due to some prior organizational commitments, I was going to join college after two weeks from the commencement of academic session, but thanks to admission committee which allowed me to join sessions held on weekends.
I wish I could go back and make it to the most awaited day “Induction Program”, but my fellow batch mates were to the rescue (thanks to social media which helped us to know each other better, even before coming face to face), I could get all the details of Dr. Raman’s speech, who not only gave insight of program but helped us realize, our decision of joining this prestigious institute is worth.
Nevertheless, it’s better late than never, first day of my journey with SCIT arrived on 7th June 2014 with “Introduction to specializations counseling “.Though it was Saturday , a lazy day for an IT professional, the case was different today. I was more enthusiasts and excited as I was going back to college life again. The first destination for the day was “D”- hostel Room 902, where I was going to find my gang. I had no idea how my day would be, but to my surprise everyone at hostel remembered me. With exchange of formal pleasantries, we all started walking towards college campus, millions of thoughts were running through my mind. After settling down in auditorium, brain storming session of various specializations offered started. After professors gave out information about each specialization in detail, alumni shared their experience of two years at SCIT and the professional journey so far. Interaction with each of the alumni boosted up our confidence and their small talk was like “Words of wisdom” for us. And the surprise visit by Dr. Raman sir was like icing on the cake. Last but not the least campus tour, wondered around campus and the preparation started for the awesome second day “Surya Shibir”. Second day of college and picnic, that’s the dream.
The day ended on happy note and with belief that next day would bring in more challenges and hope we would give our best and keep SCIT flag flying high.
