My first day of SCIT
College can seem like a never-ending stream of new experiences: new room, new friends, and new classes. I Tania Sehgal student of SCIT (Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology) here sharing my experience of my first day of college. When I was on the way from Delhi to Pune,I was nervous because I never thought one day I would do M.B.A from Symbiosis University. I did my schooling from a government School in the village and did my graduation (B.Tech) from Rohtak that is 28km far away from my village. I am from a village where there is less facility, so I was scared about
- How would be the environment of the college?
- How would be the students?
- Could I manage over there?
I came on 4th June night with my brother-in-law and we stayed at our relative’s place, in Pune. I woke up in the morning and went for the college. When I stepped in the college on 5th June, 2014, I was happy because my expectations came true but still was little nervous. I did all the formalities of hostel registration. After registration, we went to room and it was 11:30am, decided to check out my room and keep my luggage. Then I went to academic block for college registration, there sir told me to go to class. When I entered the class room, a teacher was talking about the attendance, CGPA and about our marks of internals and externals. After she completed I went to mess to take lunch. Then I came back to class room, there sir gave a task to the students, divided the class into groups and the task was how far you can throw a ball using Roman Catapult. Our ball flew more than 5 feet. We achieved more than what we estimated. We did well but we were not the winners. The winners got chocolates. I picked up a lot of ideas from other groups and learnt a lot from them. All the teachers, the warden and the security guard, everyone is so helpful. That day I enjoyed a lot. I came back to my hostel room, met my roommate. She is very nice and helpful. In night we went to mess, we took the dinner, the dinner was delicious. After that we explored the campus. The campus is so big. There is so much greenery in the campus. And every kind of facility is available in the campus. There is no need of going outside the campus. Everything is present under one roof. I felt like I was at my home. Then I came back to my room, talked with my parents and told about my experience of 1st class in SCIT. I thanked God for everything and slept.
