INDUCTION PROGRAMME

The induction program for the batch of 2022-24 started on June 6 with the Inaugural event where Dr. Dhanya Pramod, Director of SCIT welcomed all the students of the batch 2022-24. She inspired students in her own unique style by telling them captivating stories full of pearls of wisdom for life. Then Chief Guest of the event, SCIT alumnus Calvin D’Souza, AVP J.P. Morgan Chase shared his experience at SCIT as a student and his journey from an aspiring MBA student to becoming an industry leader. Students were motivated by his words and they seem to be very excited about their journey at SCIT. In the following days, more inducting events were hosted to familiarize fresh students of SCIT with Symbiosis InfoTech Campus (SIC) and all the facilities and amenities it offers to the students including Gymnasium, Swimming pool, playgrounds, and hostels. This session was particularly delivered by Col. Kadam. He also awakened students about the general code of conduct at SIC and emphasized heavily on disciplinary norms. Symbiosis is a health and wellness-promoting University, every year students were also addressed by Symbiosis Centre for Health Care (SCHC) to draw their attention to the importance of health and wellness in their academic journey. They told students about the routine health checkup and other health care policies that abided at Symbiosis. Among other ones to address students were Entrepreneurship & Innovation cell, and the Recreational & wellness cell. In the second week of Induction informatory sessions were organized on Academic Curriculum, Examination process, and Library rules and regulations, these sessions were delivered by the concerned authorities of that department. Then another 2-day program took place where the Faculty In-charge and Industry experts introduced students to elective courses offered at SCIT which becomes the basis of their course specialization. Also, the Faculty in change and Student representatives introduced different core and student-driven committees functioning at SCIT and encouraged newcomers to join them. Apart from these sessions and introductory events, a foundation course was also delivered to make students ready and equipped to start their MBA Journey.
