Republic Day Celebration

26th January, this day holds importance to us as it was 71 years ago when our nation turned into a  republic and the Constitution of India came into effect. The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and gusto at the Symbiosis Infotech Campus. The director of SCIT, Dr.  Dhanya Pramod, the director of SCMHRD, Dr. Pratima Sheorey and the director of SIIB, Dr. Asmita Chitnis and Lt. Col. Kadam were present on this momentous day. It was Dr. Pratima Sheorey who gave a speech where she talked about motivation and leadership. She then followed this by talking about the contribution of Army, Air Force and Navy for our country. Dr. Pratima also talked about the role of Symbiosis in educating the underprivileged children. This was followed with the hoisting of our tri-coloured flag and then the National Anthem. All of this was followed by a great performance from the students of SCMHRD. They sang and danced to the tunes of patriotism. Felicitation of the housekeeping staff, security guards and the mess staff along with chocolate distribution to the children followed the performances. The event ended with all the three directors releasing the tri-coloured balloons.
