Some of you may know a friend or even a family member who has received blood at some time. Blood is the lifeline of every animal living on the earth. Every year our nation requires 4 crore units of blood, out of which only a meager of 40lakh units of blood are available. The gift of blood is the gift of life. There is no substitute for human blood. It cannot be manufactured in factories; it can only come from generous donors.
For the same reason a blood donation camp is being organized at SCIT-SIC campus where not only the students but every member of SIC campus is really looking forward to donate blood at least 1 unit of blood. I would like to call this a really pious move towards humanity, towards life. Such a step will not only people of the importance of blood donation and persuading more and more individuals to donate blood regularly but also it takes an opportunity to celebrate and thank all those who voluntarily donate their blood without any reward. I feel really privileged to get this opportunity in our campus and be a part of such a pious activity. Its like giving life to live life- an awesome feel can’t be described in words.:-)
