The much-anticipated DPW 2025 event unfolded with the theme “Privacy Shift: Road to Heaven,” bringing together experts, professionals, and students to explore the transformative journey toward a secure and privacy-focused digital world.
The event began with the host emphasizing the significance of data privacy in today’s digital age. He highlighted the need for awareness and vigilance to protect personal and organizational data. The theme encouraged understanding basic privacy concepts, recognizing scams, and balancing innovation with privacy while adhering to laws like GDPR and the DPDP Act.
Two distinguished speakers graced the event. Mrs. Vaishali Bhagwat, a seasoned civil and cyber lawyer, shared insights on the evolution of privacy in India and provided practical tips for safeguarding personal data. Mr. Ali Asgar Pancha, an expert in governance and risk management, emphasized the importance of building privacy into systems and shifting focus from compliance to trust-building.
