Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, kick started the one month program in Software Solution Design for students from Ritsumeika University, Japan. 16 students from Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan are participating in this program.
This is a four week program from 21st August, 2012 to 14th September, 2012. The formal Induction was held on 21.08.2010 and Prof. Hideyuki Takada, Vice Dean, College for Information Science and Engineering, RITS University was the chief guest and the inaugural speaker. Ms. Kshipra Potdar and Mr. Kenichi Yoshida MD, Cubist Edunet Pvt Ltd., attended the inaugural function. Cubist Edunet along with SCIT is jointly hosting this program.
In order to make the stay of the participants in SCIT more enriching, SCIT has introduced the concept of “Buddy system”. More than 20 SCIT students have offered themselves to work as buddies of the participants. This enables exchange of information about the culture of Japan and India and a lot of learning is enabled through the interaction between the buddies.
The faculty mentor for this SSD program is Prof.Sadhan Galsasi- Assistant Professor –SCIT, has left no stone unturned to ensure that the participants have an enjoyable academic experience mixed with a lot of fun filled extracurricular activities during this one month.
