Harshit Srivastava of MBA(ITBM) 2015-17 Batch of SCIT(Symbiosis Center for Information Technology) won second prize in Vatkavya 2.0 (Inter B School Extempore Competition) organized by KJ SIMSR recently.The theme for the competition was “Emerging India”. The first round required an article submission on either of 3 given topics. He chose “Digital India”. The second and the final round was held amongst 12 finalist candidates and his topic was “Startup India”.
Harshit had earlier participated in IIM Calcutta Model United Nations Conference and was the Winner – Best Delegate. MUN is a simulation of the UN Conference. He was allotted Germany to be represented at G-20 Committee. The topic of discussion was “Significance of Gold in current economic scenario”. Each delegate had to put up his country’s views on the topic while exploring the diversity of the topic and coming to a common consensus after the end of 2 days discussion. A Chairperson administered the 2 day long discussion amongst 20 candidates, representing all G-20 Countries and made the final decision based on various parameters like content, vision, approach to solution, presentation and ability to convince fellow delegates
