On 5th January 2018 SIC students celebrated Pongal with great enthusiasm. Celebrations started early in the morning with worshiping god. College was well decorated by students for the occasion and a nice “Rangoli” depicting Pongal was adding more allure to it. Students came together in traditional south Indian attire for this celebration. “Prasadam” was cooked in earthen pot for which students cooked rice in milk with Jaggery in a traditional way. The auspicious gathering of students, lecturers and staff members offered prayer to the lord, “Arati” was performed and “Prasadam” was offered to the lord. After offering prayers to God, students relished a special south Indian lunch. Students and faculty members enjoyed the traditional, unusual but tasty dishes very well. Special games were also arranged for students in the evening and various fun activities made the celebration very joyful. Whole day, every one was in a festive mode and enjoyed it to the fullest. SIC and Symbiosis family always celebrate all the festivals across all the religions and countries with great enthusiasm. Our Motto is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam” means “The World is one Family” and we cherish it very well!
