INDEPENDENCE CUP – 2017: DAY 9
The 13th August 2017, the ninth day of Independence Cup 2017 was the grand day of semi-finals. The day was full of nine matches. One regular group match and eight semi-finals. First game was boys’ cricket played between junior B team and junior DSDA team. There was a tough fight between the two teams and finally Junior B team won the cricket match against Junior DSDA team. Second match was semi-final for boys volleyball played between senior C team and senior D team. The team which made the way to finals is senior D team. Third match was again boys’ volleyball semi-final. It was played between senior B team and junior D team. Seniors B team made it to finals after a wonderful performance against junior D team. Fourth game was girls’ cricket semi-final and was played between senior A team and senior B team. Senior A team dashed through the match and entered cricket finals. Fifth game was once again girls’ cricket semi-final between Senior D team and senior C team. Here, Senior D team took away the cake of victory! The sixth match was boys’ cricket semi-final. It was played between senior A team and junior A team. Juniors A team grabbed their entry into the finals after an awesome game with senior A team. The seventh match was again boys’ cricket semi-final between senior D team and junior D team. Spectacular performance by senior D team made them eligible for finals. Next two matches, eighth and ninth were football semi-finals. The eighth match was junior DSDA team vs junior A team. Junior A team made it to the finals. The Ninth game was between senior C team and senior D team. Marvellous game by senior D team cleared their way to finals! Ultimately, the ninth day of Independence Cup was super-sporty Sunday. All the players with audience loved and cherished the series of games.
