Dear All

Hope you all are aware that The Case Centre (Erstwhile ECCH) was set up in 1973 as the Case Clearing House of Great Britain and Ireland. You must also be aware of the fact that it was the result of a joint initiative by 22 higher education institutions who wanted a reliable facility for sharing case materials among business teachers.

To mark the 40th anniversary, The Case Centre is holding a celebratory case conference in India to further strengthen their worldwide community. Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) will be hosting this exciting event.

Case Centre had invited professors across the globe to submit their case studies, and informed that 45 best cases will be selected for presentation in their 40th anniversary celebratory case conference to be held at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore on 8th Sep 2014 and 9th Sep 2014.  The last date to submit the case was 28th February 2014 and the result was announced today, ie,. 26th March 2014.

I am very glad to inform you that our case study (authored by Dr R Raman Director SCIT and coauthored by faculty members of SCIT) titled “Business and Information Technology at Crossroads” has been selected as one among the 45 best cases, for presentation in their 40th anniversary celebratory case conference by The Case Centre, to be held at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

I am the principal author for the case and co-authors are the SCIT faculty members namely: Prof.Dr.Dhanya Pramod, Prof.S V K Bharathi, Prof. Muazzam Khan and Prof.Apoorva Kulkarni.

During the conference all the specially invited panelists of internationally respected case method experts will be presenting their case and also will discuss it with others and I am very glad that we have been invited to take part in it.

The aims of our two-day conference is to promote the case method, share knowledge and experience, and find new ways to improve case writing and teaching. The Case Centre Anniversary Conference 2014 has the theme Crossing Continents: Explore, Discover, Learn.

I thought of sharing this information hence this blog.
